Our approach
Find out what is wrong first.
It sounds obvious. It is also the part most often skipped, and it is the reason people end up back where they started six weeks later.
- A full examination at every new complaint, not just the first visit
- Findings explained in language you can repeat at home
- Imaging only when it would change what we do
- Gentle, low-force techniques available on request
We listen before we touch anything
What hurts, how long it has been going on, what makes it worse, and what you actually want back. Getting through a shift without bracing. Sleeping through the night. Playing eighteen holes at Headland without paying for it on Monday.
A physical examination, every time
Range of motion, orthopaedic and neurological testing, palpation and postural assessment. The point is to finish with findings rather than a hunch, so that whatever we recommend is anchored to something we can show you.
Imaging, but only when it earns its place
The Mooloolaba clinic has a low-dose digital X-ray suite on site. We use it when the examination raises a question that changes the treatment — ruling out pathology, confirming the level of a problem, or checking an anatomical variation before choosing a technique. Plenty of patients never need one.
A plan with an end, and the right practitioner
You get told what we found, what we can do about it, and roughly how long it should take. If the problem is better served by a physiotherapist, that conversation happens in the hallway rather than through a referral letter. If it belongs with your GP or a specialist, we will say so.
Techniques
Adjusted the way that suits you.
If you have had chiropractic before and disliked a particular technique, say so at the consultation. Nobody has to be treated in a way they are not comfortable with.
Manual adjusting
Specific, hands-on work for stiff and irritated spinal and peripheral joints.
Low-force options
Drop-table and instrument-assisted approaches for those who prefer them or whose presentation calls for it.
Soft tissue work
Because a joint rarely gets stiff without the surrounding muscle having an opinion about it.
Rehabilitation
Loading and strength work, so the thing that settled stays settled once you stop coming in.
Next step
Have a question about how we work?
Ask before you book. We would rather have a two-minute conversation than see you make a trip that was never going to help.
